I’ll rest when I’m dead
Beep beep!
Just as Xia Ping was about to go to the station to leave Black Moon City, the System’s voice suddenly rang in his head: “Someone has declared hatred unto death against host. For this achievement host has been awarded one thousand hate points.”
What?
Xiao Ping was dumbstruck when he heard the voice. Someone actually hated him to that extent?
Who? He didn’t do anything bad, all he did was get rid of several crazy gangsters, could it be because he killed that man in white?
His thoughts immediately flew to the young man he just killed. The other had seemed very rich and important at first glance, not at all like a normal person. It’s likely that a lot of trouble will come his way because he killed that person.
But never in a million years would Xia Ping think that someone cared enough about that young man to hate him to the point of life and death.
“This situation doesn’t seem right.”
Xia Ping carefully walked to the station, just as he was about to walk into an alleyway near the station, he immediately saw the gangsters patrolling the area, there were five or six times more people than before.
Xia Ping saw very clearly, many men in black clothing and sunglasses walking around the station. Their surveillance covered almost every corner of the station as they marched like soldiers, alert and attentive for trouble.
All travellers that drew close to the station were stopped by these men for a thorough search. After making sure everything was in order, the travellers were then allowed to board the trains and leave for their respective destinations.
However, as soon as there was the slightest suspicion that something was off, the traveller was immediately apprehended and handcuffed before being led away.
“Seems like I really did get myself into big trouble this time. That dead person was probably someone important.” Xia Ping’s eyes shone. He opened up his senses in order to detect more of the commotion around him.
He immediately realized that the men in black weren’t only in the train station, they were present everywhere he could sense. All of them were staring at every pedestrian they encountered with a serious expression, not letting anyone pass by without a thorough search.
Soon, Xia Ping heard several of them chatting close by.
“Tch. This time the higher ups are really getting serious. Haven’t seen anything like this for a while.”
“Right? I heard that manager Zheng was completely enraged. He’s already using everything within his power, moving the entire company’s forces and even gathering the members from the periphery in order to capture that criminal. He’s also offered a generous award to the person who captures the criminal.”
“That’s understandable, his son was killed after all. Who wouldn’t be mad in that situation!”
“Tch. The murderer is dead for sure. manager Zheng already ordered for the murderer to be shredded apart as soon as he’s captured. He’s even ordered for the murderer’s identity to be found, so that he can kill the murderer’s family too.”
“That’s so cruel. Even the family members are implicated. But that’s to be expected for going against our Black Bear Company.”
“Yeah. Anyone that dared to hurt a member of our company will never be able to escape in one piece!”
“Be more alert will you? We can’t let the murderer go.”
“Of course, I’m always on the lookout, can’t let anyone suspicious walk away.”
The several black-clad men murmured among themselves as they cast their gazed at the passerby around them.
Xia Ping’s expression darkened upon hearing the conversation between them. He never thought that the people from the Black Bear Company would be so evil. If they found out his real identity, they would definitely go after his family.
Thankfully he was prepared for something like this. With the skin mask that can change his facial features, there’s no way that any of them would be able to tell who he was. Unless he messes up and gets caught.
“The people from the Black Bear Company shouldn’t have seen my face before. I’ve been very careful those several times when I had to make a move.” Xia Ping’s eyes glimmered as he sunk into deep contemplation: “But it’s still impossible to get on the train without being noticed. As soon as I get close to the trains I’d have to be searched. They’ll discover the gold level medicine and the martial arts tome that I have on me immediately.
Of course, he can escape quite easily if he abandons these and makes a run for it, but he didn’t want to. He didn’t want to give these things away for nothing, so he needs to think of a better plan.
“Wait, I can see what the System’s store has, maybe I can find something that can help me out.” A sudden flash of insight came upon Xia Ping. He immediately opened the System store in his brain, and looked through the items listed there.
Half an hour later, he finally found something useful.
Invisibility pill, priced at one thousand two hundred hatred points!
This pill has a special effect. As soon as he eats it, it’ll immediately retract his presence and make him invisible for an entire hour. Anything living would not be able to spot him in the meantime.
If he uses this pill, leaving this pace would be easy.
But Xia Ping still felt a stab of pain as he purchased the pill. This is an entire one thousand two hundred hatred points! He’s been saving up so much, yet he only has a little over one thousand right now.
This medicine alone would decrease his savings by more than half. How could he be satisfied having lost so much?
“No, I can’t just let the Black Bear Company get away with this. They actually dared to force me to resort to these desperate means, sending so many people after me. Of course I’ve got to be polite and return the favor.”
An evil glint lit up Xia Ping’s eye. A plan was forming already in the back of his mind. He decided to leave Black Moon City, but only after screwing with the Black Bear Company, or else he can’t swallow down the simmering anger brewing inside him.

An hour hater, in the Black Bear Company tower.
Zheng Cheng and his underling Rong Hui, as well as several of his trusted people, all stood in the great lobby on the first floor. Their expressions were as dark and gloomy as thunderheads. The very air felt heavy around them.
“What the fuck happened?”
Zheng Cheng glared at everyone present, and exploded in anger: “One hour, were you all aware that an entire hour has passed? You couldn’t even find a single trace? What else can trash like you do for the company!”
He can’t believe it. Even though he’s mobilized all of the company’s resources, and ordered tens of thousands of people to go out there and surround the city so well that not even a fly can pass through unnoticed. But they still can’t find it. They can’t find anything. It’s as if the murderer became invisible, and disappeared into thin air.
“Sorry.” Song Hi laughed bitterly, as if he couldn’t believe it himself. “Manager Zheng, we really put our all into it, every available person was sent out on patrol, and we’ve even searched all the pedestrians on the streets outside. But no matter what we did, we just can’t find anything, it’s like that bastard had just evaporated. A little while before we thought we'd picked up a tail, but just half an hour ago all traces of that person just disappeared.”
“If I had to guess, that guy probably had an accomplice, and a powerful one too.”
The other people nodded their agreement. It’s inconceivable that anyone would be able to escape their grasp alone, without help from an accomplice.
“Useless, you’re all just fucking useless!” Zheng Cheng’s anger burned through him like an unstoppable force, his temper had risen through the roof. But he knew that Black Moon City had other underground forces besides the Black Bear Company. There are many other forces stronger than the Company hidden in this city.
If those people wanted to send manpower and resources to help, then the Black Bear Company can’t do anything else except admit defeat.
The Black Bear Company can admit defeat, but he, Zheng Cheng, will never admit defeat!
“Manager.”
Suddenly, Song Hui looked as if he'd seen a ghost. He extended a shaking hand and pointed towards the front door of the lobby: “Look, there’s a piece of paper there, with something written on it!”
